Hans Ahola 70 years -charity seminar

Last Friday we celebrated Hans Ahola’s 70th birthday with a charity seminar in Kokkola. Hans Ahola, the long-term CEO of Ahola Transport and a current chairman of Ahola Group’s Board of Directors, wished that guests would donate to charities instead of giving him gifts.

Hans’ chosen donation targets were in Pakistan and Finland. The donations to Pakistan will aid families living in poverty in breaking out of the cycle and starting their own businesses. In Finland, the donations will be used to help low-income families with children.

The charity seminar, organized under the theme “What have I learned about leadership”, featured speakers such as the former Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipilä, vuorineuvos (an honorary title in Finland) Matti Sundberg, Olavi Huhtala (Division Manager, SSAB Europe), and Wojciech Rowiński (CEO of Scania Poland), Bishop Johan Candelin presented the donation targets.

The warm-hearted event, filled with insightful speeches, brought together around 200 guests from Finland and the Nordic countries at Kokkola City Hall.
